The Day from Hell

Yesterday was the day from Army hell. We woke up...fine. We walked over and had our gas masks checked out to make sure they worked....fine. The NCO's got together to decide how to set up out "Battle Rattle"...that's about when the wheels came off the wagon.

We got these new folks in recalled from IRR. IRR is the inactive Ready Reserve. When you enlist for any amount of time, the army always has you for eight years. if you do three years active, the army has you for five years of IRR when they can recall you to active duty. Anywaym these guys think that they are so far above us it's rediculous. So this Captain came in a week after the rest of us and just changed everything. he got rid of our squad leaders and put his guys in and changed us around. The thing that really pissed me off was that he seperated me and Williams, the only other female. Well, the other thing is that he did all of this without speaking to our platoon sergent or officers. So we were pretty pissed.

we had an MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) run to the mall and Walmart at 1300, after a barracks inspection by the company commander. So at 1300 he comes through and decides that he wants all of the furniture moved around (bunkbeds and wall lockers) in both famale bays before we can go. So we"re pissed, but do it. He comes back an hour later with the first Sergent and they say, nope, it has to go back. Then an hour later they want all the wall lockers moved around. So we finally get done at about 1530 and go to cq to turn in our weapons and go and we are told that the bus is deadlined and we can't use it. AAHH!!!! Hmmm, did no one check that while they were skrewing with us all afternoon? So they get the mechanic out and we have formation at 1600. So at that formation we are told we have a police call. (that's litter pick up) as a company until 1630. we finally could go at 1700. The time we were origionally suposed to get back. It was a very LONG and FRUSTRATING day!!!

We went to the mall and walmart. I got some fun stuff to brighten my "space" and that was fun. I was in a better mood by the end of the night, but I was in a really pissy mood most of the day. Thankfully it's over.
